The iconic American network is partnering with the popular animated series, which premieres July 9. The series follows a group of young jujutsu sorcerers as they protect the world from evil spirits called curses.

Here’s what you need to know:

What’s so special about McDonald’s new sauce?

The condiment, named after the special-grade curses fought in the anime, “features notes of garlic and soy sauce, balanced by a slight tangy sweetness,” according to a press release.

The sauce packaging features eight different designs featuring favorite characters such as Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, Nobara Kugisaki and Kento Nanami.

How do I get the sauce?

The sauce is available exclusively on the McDonald’s app and comes free with an order of Chicken McNuggets.

What comes with the sauce?

Customers who purchase the sauce will receive a 30-day free trial of Crunchyroll, one of the best anime streaming services.

Wait, what is Jujutsu Kaisen again?

It is an anime adaptation of a manga series that became popular upon its debut in 2020. After two seasons, Jujutsu Kaisen has expanded its reach to become something of an internet and pop culture icon, with Megan Thee Stallion referencing its characters in one of her latest songs and fans claiming Usher’s “Daddy’s Home” as Satoru Gojo’s theme song.

Usher even got in on the act by impersonating Gojo in January, and fans started a petition to have Usher perform “Daddy’s Home” at the Super Bowl in honor of Gojo. The petition has garnered nearly 38,000 signatures.
