Meet Sara Al Madani’s RHODubai Love Interest Akin Fontana

Do we have a new one? Real Stay-at-Home Boyfriend to discuss, Sara Al Madani? During season 2, episode 5 of The Real Housewives of DubaiSara and her son Maktoum have been dating a man named Akin Fontana, who is introduced as “Sara’s friend.” But who exactly is he?

“He’s not a boyfriend Again“, Sara explained towards the end of the episode. “I’m old school. I’d like to get to know him, introduce him to the family, and then I want to get married. I’m not looking to date for fun.”

In a confessional, she added that privacy is a sacred thing in her world.

“Akin is Muslim, so he understands the culture and traditions,” Sara said, before telling friends she planned to wait a few months before introducing him to her parents. But that doesn’t mean We I can’t get to know him any better.

Akin Fontana’s career and background

When we first met him, the handsome hunk (he’s a model!) was laughing with Sara and her son, Maktoum, during a coffee date.

“It’s been two months since I’ve seen Akin and I’m so excited to see him. This time, we’re meeting for a bigger intention: I’m deciding whether to put him in the friend zone or take him to the next level. And so far, it’s going great,” Sara explained in a confessional as checkmarks for her three must-haves—nice to Maktoum, spiritual, and a believer in aliens—appeared onscreen.

Later in the episode, Akin had the pleasure of meeting some of Sara’s relatives. Luckily for us, their interrogation allowed us to get a little more information about the man. We found out that he models sports and streetwear, that his mother is German, and that he is working on moving to Dubai.

“Wow. You’re a very handsome man,” Chanel Ayan said after their introduction. In a confession, she added that “Sara knows how to pick them to be very sexy.”

According to Akin’s Instagram, he works as a certified personal trainer and splits his time between New York, Germany and Dubai.

During their coffee date, Maktoum told his mother that he had spent time with Akin and that they had gone to “five gas stations just to get a slushie.”

“Yesterday, Akin babysat Macky. It’s not a complete test, but it’s a good start because I need to see if they get along or not,” she explains. “I need my son’s approval and his opinion because he really wants a father figure. But at the same time, it’s a risk because what if it doesn’t work out, if my son gets attached to him and the boy leaves?”

That said, it’s safe to say that Maktoum approved of Akin. Later in the conversation, he asked the big question directly: “When are you going to be my father or my father-in-law?”

Are Sara Al Madani and Akin Fontana still together today?

It is unclear where Sara and Akin are located, although in a June 2024 interview with The dish of the daySara opened up about her relationship status and noted that she was single.

“None of that and there is no rush because once you do the inner work the right person will come along. So still single – haha,” Sara explained via email.
