Candidate caught lip-syncing during online interview; old video goes viral again

An old video of a candidate reading an automated or AI-generated answer to an interview question and then lip-syncing to ace the interview has resurfaced online. It shows a man failing miserably at the job or exam he is applying for because he does not lip-sync the words spoken. The examiner catches the candidate red-handed.

Interview in playback filmed by a camera

The video opens with a man in a dress shirt, wearing a headset, participating in an online interview. During the video call, a question and answer exchange took place, only to learn that the candidate had not answered the questions himself, but had used lip-syncing and cheat codes to decipher them.

When asked about his previous work experience related to the topic, the man let the automated voice take the lead. He simply lip-synced the requested answer.

“Did you work on any triggers in your experience?” the interviewer asked from the other side of the camera. To this, the man was seen trying to match the words suggested to him, but he failed. His ability to lip-synch ruined the interview as it was clearly evident that he was not the one giving the answer. “That’s not the way, man. I clearly caught you,” the interviewer said before the video ended.

The video originally went viral in 2017, according to reports.
