Discover the latest Cup Noodles flavor: Campfire S’mores

The official start of summer and the Fourth of July holiday mean we’re already well into s’mores season. Supermarkets and big box stores are stocking their shelves with boxes of graham crackers and bags of marshmallows, just in case you forgot it’s time to light something in your backyard.

If you’ve never mastered the art of roasting marshmallows—or you just can’t rely on a pointy stick—there’s an easier way to experience that familiar s’mores flavor, and you don’t even need an open flame. Nissin Foods USA just released a Campfire S’mores flavor of its iconic Cup Noodles—and no, it’s not a joke.

This limited-edition Cup Noodles combines the rich flavors of melted chocolate, the sweetness of gooey marshmallows, and the essential crunch of graham crackers with, well, Cup Noodles instant ramen. In just five minutes (three minutes in the microwave and two minutes of anxious waiting while they rest), you can have a taste experience no one could have anticipated. In a statement, the company even suggested topping the cooked noodles with crumbled graham crackers or a handful of mini marshmallows. Sure, why not?

“Since its invention nearly 100 years ago, the beloved s’more has been adapted into a wide range of food flavors, recipes and now, ramen,” Priscila Stanton, senior vice president of marketing for Nissin Foods USA, said in a statement. “As fans look for new ways to satisfy their s’mores cravings beyond the great outdoors, we couldn’t resist joining in the campfire fun by transforming the classic flavor into a bold and unexpected experience that will capture the hearts and palates of consumers across the country.”

The new Campfire S’mores Instant Ramen is currently available exclusively at Walmart stores or on Walmart.com, and has a suggested retail price of $1.18 per cup.

Cup Noodles’ Campfire S’mores isn’t the first unconventional flavor the brand has produced. It’s also created a breakfast Cup Noodle and an Everything Bagel with cream cheese, among others.

This isn’t the first unexpected Cup Noodles flavor to launch recently. In April, the company surprised everyone with an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese instant ramen, which was also another Walmart exclusive. The company also raised eyebrows with its Breakfast Ramen, which featured the flavors of pancakes, maple syrup, sausage, and eggs. It also released a Pumpkin Spice version, because it seems like every food and beverage company has to do that at least once.

Some of the commenters on Cup Noodles’ Instagram post about the new Campfire S’mores noodles weren’t convinced. “Just checked if it’s April Fools,” one person wrote, while a S’mores skeptic added, “I’m all for memes but y’all are overdoing it now.” “Cookies and Cream ramen next,” a third suggested.

And honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised.
