Samsung is radically changing the look of its wireless earbuds this year. The upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro sport a stem design made popular by Apple’s AirPods. We’ve already seen the duo in leaked renders, revealing slimmer design elements. A new leak gives us promotional images of the Pro model ahead of next week’s Unpacked.

New Galaxy Buds 3 Pro leak shows official promo images

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro images posted on X by reliable tipster Roland Quandt don’t reveal anything new. We don’t even get a close-up look at the earbuds. According to the source, these are official promotional photos that Samsung will use in its marketing materials for the new earbuds. We can see the earbuds in white, although leaks have also hinted at a black variant. These may be the only two color options for the earbuds.

Samsung’s redesigned TWS earbuds aren’t just inspired by the AirPods. The Korean firm appears to have designed the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro to resemble Apple’s offering. The upcoming pair ditches the rubber eartips and slides right into your ears. For a bit of originality, Samsung has added a vertical stripe on the stem and some colorful elements to its base. One or both of these design elements may feature LED lights underneath.

Samsung is rumored to be bringing AI capabilities to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. It’s unclear whether the AI ​​features will only be available when paired with a compatible Galaxy phone. The earbuds are also expected to feature an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. They support Bluetooth v5.4 and Auto Switch. Just over a week before Samsung reveals everything. The Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will debut at Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 10. The event will also showcase new foldables, watches, and the Galaxy Ring.

Samsung’s new earbuds remind the industry of the original Apple AirPods

In the same X thread, Roland Quandt posted another image with the caption “real world image.” This may have confused a few people because the earbud shown in this image doesn’t look like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. That’s because it isn’t. It’s meant to be a joke/meme mocking Samsung’s design. This image was widely used to mock Apple’s first-generation AirPods back in 2016. Samsung probably won’t mind a few jokes about its Galaxy Buds 3 Pro as long as it emulates the success of the AirPods.
