Manchester United ready to shine with new home kits – and other revelations from Europe’s top leagues – SportsLogos.Net News

Manchester United are ready to step into the spotlight with their new home kits for 2024-25.

The English Premier League giants unveiled the new jersey, made by Adidas, on their website and social media channels on Monday, July 1. The jersey changes from a lighter red at the top to a darker red at the bottom “creating a unique luminous effect”, with white accents on the collar and shoulders.

“A final bright red, flame-like insert – in a colour expression never before seen on a Manchester United home shirt – runs down the side panel of the shirt and shorts, creating a connecting line that stands out against the stadium backdrop when the players are in motion.” the club adds on its website.

This is Manchester United’s first home shirt with their new sponsor on the front of the jersey, Snapdragona brand under the umbrella of technology company Qualcomm.

Manchester United’s pre-season kicks off on July 15 with a friendly against Norwegian club Rosenborg BK in Trondheim, Norway. The Red Devils will also play two pre-season games in the United States: on July 27 against Arsenal at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and on July 31 against Real Betis at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.


TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR — Away

Fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are harking back to the 1980s with their 2024-25 away kit, made by Nike. The light blue stripes on the jersey are “synonymous with away kits from some of the most important eras in the club’s history.” according to the Spurs websiteThe V-neck is a darker blue and the sleeve cuffs are decorated with blue, white and yellow stripes. The club crest is placed on the center of the chest.


🇩🇪 VfL WOLFSBURG — Home and Away

In Germany, Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg are ready to turn up the volume with their new 2024-25 home and away kits, made by Nike. The home kits are all about Wolfsburg’s signature hue of neon green, with a vertical stripe down the center front divided diagonally between shades of green. The away kit, meanwhile, has a black base with faint green stripes down the front that fade to black as they reach the top or bottom of the jersey.


🇩🇪 EINTRACHT FRANKFURT — Home

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt are evolving their kits from the late 1980s and early 1990s into the present with their 2024-25 Nike home jersey. It is predominantly white – a change from the black bases the club has used in recent seasons – with red sleeves and a tapered black block on the shoulders on the front of the jersey. It also features black side panels and a star in a “subtle” grey gradient on the lower left side of the front. The names and numbers will be printed in black on the back.


🇪🇸 VILLARREAL CF — Home

Spanish La Liga club Villarreal CF are paying tribute to the ceramic industry that has made the province of Castellón so successful with their 2024-25 home kits made by Joma. The front of the traditional yellow jersey features “an elegant, sublimated design that has been added, with subtle silhouettes throughout the fabric that reference the city’s and the club’s ceramic tradition.” The V-neck and sleeve cuffs are dark blue with a thin yellow stripe down the middle, and navy stripes run across the shoulders.

🇪🇸 GIRONA FC — Home

Elsewhere in Spain, La Liga side Girona FC have ditched their usual red and white stripes in favour of a pattern with more local significance for their 2024-25 home kits made by Puma. The red and white waves on the front of the new kit are taken directly from The coat of arms of Girona“being a variant that can evoke the ripples of water, has been commonly associated – although this has no historical validity – with the waters of the city and, by extension, the rivers that cross it.” The sleeves and crew neck are a solid red, as is the panel on the back that allows the name and number to be readable.


🇪🇸 CD LEGANÉS — Away

CD Leganés meanwhile have been promoted to La Liga after a four-year absence and their new Joma away kits for 2024-25 celebrate another famous promotion in the club’s history. The green shirt features a dark green stripe across the chest, which features a silhouette of a player performing a bicycle kick. The silhouette is based on a photo of striker Carlos Álvarez, whose goal in a play-off match against CE L’Hospitalet at the end of the 2013-14 season earned Leganés promotion to the Spanish Segunda División for the first time in 10 years.

🇮🇹 SS LAZIO — Home

Italian Serie A club SS Lazio show their faith and passion with their 2024-25 home kits, manufactured by Mizuno. The jersey is light blue, the traditional Lazio jersey, with a raised geometric pattern on the front, which includes the lettering “SS LAZIO”. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are trimmed with white and navy blue. The back collar features the club motto “One Faith, One Passion” in navy blue Japanese characters, a nod to the heritage of kit manufacturer Mizuno.


🇫🇷 OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE — Home & Away

The tonal flags on the side panels of the 2024-25 home jersey of French Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille, made by Puma, pay homage to its supporters and the flags they fly in the stands every match day. The dark blue away jersey, meanwhile, features an all-over wave pattern, in homage to the Mediterranean Sea and Marseille’s “dolce vita.” The club’s gold crest and sponsor logos “subtly recall the colours of the sun.”

🇫🇷 TOULOUSE FC — Home

Toulouse FC unveiled the first home jerseys of its new contract with Nike on Monday, July 1st. The new jerseys retain the Toulouse club’s traditional purple base, accentuated by a lighter purple belt that runs diagonally across the front of the jersey. The collar and cuffs are the same shade of purple as the base of the jersey, and the sponsor and Nike logos on the chest are white.
