Meet Popverse’s New Editor, Grant DeArmitt

With Graeme McMillan’s promotion to Popverse’s editor-in-chief, we had to find a new editor. After reviewing hundreds of applications and interviewing many pop culture journalism stars, we settled on someone who’s been around forever: contributing editor Grant DeArmitt.

Grant starts today as Popverse’s new Editor, having worked as a freelance contributor in several roles such as writer, live stream coordinator, and invaluable editorial assistant. In his new role as Popverse Editor, he will work with myself and the rest of the team to set the tone, voice, and creative output that comes from us as we enter our third year.

Grant joins us with a BA from King’s College and years of experience as a writer and editor – not only at Popverse, but across the internet in outlets such as Newsarama, Nightmare on Film Street, CBR and ScreenRant, as well as on his own creator-owned comics such as the recent horror thread RATATOSK.

You can expect to see Grant every day, here on Popverse as well as on our YouTube and social channels. He’ll also be joining our raucous band on our 2024 convention tour – and will be a key part of our plans for New York Comic Con 2024, among other things.
