LSU Football Team Announces 2024 Fall Schedule – LSU

RED STICK – Head coach Sian Hudson and the LSU football program announce the schedule for the 2024 fall season, which begins Thursday, Aug. 15 and features eight games at LSU Football Stadium.

The LSU football program recently announced the contract extension of Hudson, who is entering his fifth season and will continue to build the Tiger program in Baton Rouge.

Hudson and his staff are dedicated to fostering the football culture in Louisiana and working to elevate the LSU football program to the highest level. Since beginning his tenure at LSU in 2019, Hudson has propelled the program to unprecedented success alongside associate head coach Seb Furness, who joined the coaching staff that same year.

Under Hudson’s leadership, the LSU Tigers achieved significant milestones during the 2023 season, marking their ninth NCAA Tournament appearance and third consecutive postseason appearance, the most consecutive appearances by a coach in LSU history. Notably, Hudson earned LSU’s first NCAA Tournament victory with a first-round win over Lamar on Nov. 11, 2022.

Next season, Hudson and his team will look to secure their fourth straight NCAA appearance and 10th overall for LSU. The Tigers also hope to secure the program’s 14th 10-win season while chasing an SEC and national championship.

LSU will play two exhibitions against Alabama and Southern Mississippi before officially kicking off the 2024 season against South Alabama on Thursday, Aug. 15 in Mobile.

The Tigers’ home opener is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 25 against Arizona State. The team will also host Utah, UL-Lafayette, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Auburn and Texas in Baton Rouge before concluding at home against Vanderbilt on Thursday, Oct. 24.

LSU will travel to face the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Old Dominion, San Francisco, the University of California at Davis, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Texas A&M and closes the regular season at Missouri on Sunday, Oct. 27.

The team will face 10 SEC opponents throughout the regular season this year, including league newcomers Texas and Oklahoma.

Hudson and the Tigers are looking to set new attendance records inside LSU’s football stadium in 2024. Three of the program’s 10 largest crowds have occurred under Hudson’s tenure.

“I am committed to working tirelessly alongside my staff and team to achieve the success our Tigers fans deserve,” Hudson said. “Witnessing the growth of football in Louisiana during my time here has been incredibly rewarding, and we want to continue to build on that each year.”

All home games are free to the public, with promotions and giveaways to come.
