Bernie is depressed and confides in Dev about her family problems. She explains to him the difficulties between Paul and Gemma after Kit tells them everything. She desperately hopes the family can reunite. But she feels they need some private time to sort things out.

But when Beth flirts with Kit in the street, it is revealed that he is Gemma’s brother and Bernie is her mother. It isn’t long before the secret is revealed.
