Bengaluru man slams Vistara for cancelling his flight, losing his baggage. Airline responds

Vistara has responded to a man who criticised the airline after he faced several issues during his journey. Bengaluru-based company founder Siddharth Sharma criticised the airline for its service in a post on X that has gone viral with over 71,000 views so far.

First, Siddharth’s flight was cancelled, which left him “stranded” at the Paris airport. Then, the replacement flight was delayed. Siddharth also lost his luggage.

“Dear @airvistara, first you cancel my flight and leave me stranded at Paris airport. Then you delay the replacement flight. Then you delay the domestic flight too. Then you manage to lose my luggage too. Fly with this new feeling,” Siddharth said in his post.

In response to the latter, Vistara said, “Hello Siddharth, please help us report the ownership irregularities and identify the bag tag through DM. We will resolve this issue as soon as possible.”

Siddharth then replied to Vistara saying, “I have already shared the details with your ground staff, Gauri. I have sent them WhatsApp pictures along with a detailed explanation of what exactly happened. I am too tired and unwell to repeat. Can you coordinate internally?”

Meanwhile, in the comments section, several users shared their experience with Vistara. “You are lucky. They are very good at discriminating. They can confiscate your bag on some pretext but let a whole bunch of passengers through, while a very argumentative and holier-than-thou officer will mistreat you. It is very discriminatory,” said one user.

One of the comments reads, “Looks like Vistara has decided to write a horror story and it has become too good for them to stop it soon.”

Several others asked Siddharth to keep social media users updated on the status of his luggage: “This looks very devastating and exhausting. Please keep us updated on how you handled the situation.”
