BBC accidentally shows Dutch star stripping on live TV during Euro 2024 coverage

The BBC has been left speechless after accidentally showing a Dutch star stripping off on live TV.

The awkward moment came before Ronald Koeman’s side booked their place in the Euro quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Romania.

Liverpool star Cody Gakpo opened the scoring before two late goals from Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen sealed victory in the last 16.

The Dutch will now face Turkey for a place in the semi-finals next week – potentially against Gareth Southgate’s England.

But the BBC put its foot in it before the kick-off against Romania by showing the Netherlands dressing room live.

As fans got a glimpse behind the scenes for a few seconds, the camera panned around the field.

And for a brief moment, a Dutch star could be seen at the back of the room pulling down her underwear to expose her bare backside on screen.

The camera quickly panned away as the incident was swept under the rug.

It was also unclear who the player in question was.

But fans watching the home game were quick to realise the unfortunate mistake.

Comedian David Baddiel, creator of the iconic England supporters’ song ‘Three Lions’, kicked off the debate by saying: “I’m not sure the BBC should be filming in the Netherlands dressing room.

“Unless they specifically want Dutch butts in the background?”

Another fan said: “Could you see their Netherlands?”

One added: “The Dutch Buttocks – what a band name!”

The Netherlands have had a mixed Euro so far, with their win against Romania only their second of the tournament.

Koeman’s team started the group stage with a 2-1 win against Poland.

But they were held to a 0-0 draw by France.

The Netherlands then suffered a surprise 3-2 defeat to Austria, leaving them among the best third-placed teams.

However, top-ranked Austria were knocked out of the Euros by a 2-1 defeat to Turkey yesterday.

Second-placed France had a long wait to qualify for the final and struggled to overcome Belgium.

And since the Dutch overtook Romania with ease, they had the last laugh.
