Parents of ‘1 in 700,000’ quadruplets ‘shocked’ to welcome babies | Lifestyle

A West Lothian family has welcomed naturally conceived quadruplets – a rarity of one in 700,000 thought to be the first of its kind in the region of Scotland.

Rory, Harrison, Ben and Noah weighed just three pounds each when they were born via scheduled C-section at 30 weeks, with 20 doctors involved in the operation.

“I can’t wait to come home and have a lovely little family… or a big family,” dad John Mitchell, who already has two children with his partner and newborn mum Arlene, said on GMB.

There is a 15 million to 1 chance that the babies will be identical.
