AJA Vineyards Opens First Tasting Room

AJA Vineyardsa family-owned winery off the coast of Malibu, is opening its first tasting room in Santa Monica at 1417, 2nd Street An opening date has not been announced, but they recently began hiring associates for the tasting room.

Aja was founded by Todd And Heather Greenbaum In 2007, Todd planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah vines in his first vineyard. Todd’s parents were wine enthusiasts, which helped him develop an admiration for wine, which eventually led him to start his collection. He fell in love with the varietals of Napa Valley and wanted to bring those styles to the Malibu coast.

“Family is very important to the AJA recipe. It’s in the name. AJA is an acronym for Todd and Heather’s three children, Alec, Jack and Amanda, who are their greatest treasures,” their website says.

Today, Todd and Heather’s eldest daughter, Amanda, has dedicated her life to crafting the finest wines on the Malibu Coast and currently runs the winery’s operations.

The vineyard offers a wine club with four different levels, educational programming and events.
