Fans gobsmacked after Rihanna slips ‘hypocritical’ message into GloRilla DMs

GloRilla has revealed a DM she received from one of the world’s biggest pop stars.

The rapper, real name Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is best known for hit songs like “Tomorrow 2,” “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be.”

She’s also collaborated with artists like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, and now fans are asking her to release a song with Rihanna as the “We Found Love” singer slid into GloRilla’s DMs.

The rapper recently took to Instagram to share a series of snaps of herself partying with her friends, but it was the latest slide that really got people talking.

DM read from Riri: “You have all summer, sister! I know it’s hypocritical, but when will the album come out?”

His remarks sent fans wild, knowing that they have been waiting eight years for his next album.

Rihanna’s last release was Anti in 2016, which included tracks like “Work,” “Needed Me” and “Love on the Brain.”

“Rih is asking for a fucking album,” one person replied to GloRilla’s post.

“Rihanna’s nerve,” laughed another.

“Rih asking someone when her album is coming out is hilarious,” a third added. “Now she needs to put Glo on it.”

Another person wrote: “RiRi can’t talk about an album release because we’ve been waiting for it to come out for a few years now.”

One of the last updates Rihanna gave about her upcoming album – reportedly called R9 – was in April.

“It’s going to be amazing,” she joked to Extra. “It has to be, that’s the only reason it hasn’t come out yet. If I don’t feel it and I don’t feel like it represents the evolution, the time that I’ve spent away from home.”

The mother of two continued: “There should be a display of growth, right? I want to play, and I feel like music is a playground, and I want to have fun with it and really show where I’m at.”

It is not yet known whether a collaboration with GloRilla is planned.

“I’m not a big collaborator… It has to be very intentional, so I’ll know when I get the record,” Rihanna revealed.

In the eight years she hasn’t made music, Rihanna has focused her attention on her multi-billion dollar business Fenty Beauty, as well as starting a family.

The singer shares two sons, RZA and Riot, with rapper A$AP Rocky.
