Eduardo Antonio moved to tears by his mother’s message on television

Eduardo Antonio could not contain his emotion when he heard a heartfelt message from his mother, Olguita, on Tony Benítez’s television show. The show included an interview with the famous Cuban singer, also known as “Divo de Placetas.”

The love of a mother

During the interview, Eduardo Antonio was asked about his mother. “She is a lady, a woman of character, delicate but strong,” he said. Moments later, the program surprised him with an audio message.

“Eduardo Antonio, my son. I bless you to protect you from all bad intentions, from envy and from those who lack talent and want to hide your success. Forty years in which you have always been a conqueror,” his mother wrote in the message. Those touching words made Eduardo Antonio cry.

“This message, among the many she gave me on television, will go down in history because it shows a mother saying: ‘Don’t hurt my son,'” said the Divo, holding back tears.

“The truth is that I am an artist who has been giving his best for forty years, who believes and loves what I do, and that in itself commands respect,” added the singer of “Pa los envidiosos”, one of the most beloved Cuban artists.
