Woman filmed stealing cat from Pelham home

PELHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A video circulating on social media showing an unknown woman picking up a cat sitting outside a home in Pelham has gone viral.

The video, posted by Tammy Cottone Kusiak to the Facebook group “What’s Happening in Pelham” on Tuesday, shows a woman walking up to the front of her Pelham home with a white cat, picking it up and then walking to a Jeep Cherokee and driving away. According to Kusiak’s post, the family was on vacation when they were alerted by their Ring camera that the woman was home.

“Around 7:30 last night this lady came to our door and took our cat. You can see someone in the jeep waiting for her and once she had my cat they left,” Kusiak wrote on Facebook.

Kusiak said the cat was an indoor cat and was named Snowball.
