MAFS Australia 2024 couple announce surprise split after final vows

Married at First Sight Australia spoilers follow.

Australian MAFS couple Eden and Jayden have shocked fans by announcing their split.

The reality stars, who were paired together on the 2024 series, said their final vows on the show, choosing to continue their relationship after the experiment.

Eden and Jayden both shared separate Instagram posts today (April 17) confirming their split, along with several photos of the couple’s time together.

“When I made the decision to live with Jayden, during my final vows, I did so with long-term intentions,” Eden wrote in her post. “Jayden and I spent many months together after the experience, during which time Cub gained a dad and I gained a second family for which I am truly grateful.”

“I am sad to report that towards the end of the show’s run, our relationship unexpectedly ended,” she continued. “The ‘reality’ is that the person I chose didn’t choose me.

“Even though I am disappointed, I will never regret the experience, the people I met, the lessons I learned and the growth this process brought me.”

Eden signed off to thank fans for their support and reiterated her hopes of finding her “fairytale” ending.

Hours later, Jayden shared his own breakup message. The MAFS groom reflected on the happy times the couple spent together on the Gold Coast with his family after the final vows, before saying, “Sometimes in life, things don’t always go the way you hoped.”

“As sad as it is, I’m so happy to have been able to go through this with such an incredible wife and such a beautiful son (referring to Eden’s dog, Cub),” he continued. “You will both always have a second family on the Gold Coast.”

The final vows episode of the current series Married At First Sight Australia has not yet aired in the UK, but has already aired in Australia.
