Sweet Message Travis Kelce Sent to Gracie Abrams Ahead of Surprise Eras Tour Appearance with Taylor Swift

A singer who performed alongside Taylor Swift on the Eras tour has revealed the “really encouraging” thing Travis Kelce said to her before going on stage.

From Travis’ controversial moment with Julia Roberts at Taylor’s Dublin show to meeting the royals last month at Wembley Stadium in London, the UK leg of Swift’s Eras tour is the gift that keeps on giving.

And the latest update in the fan-favorite saga involves what the NFL star said to the 33-year-old “Cruel Summer” singer’s guest star, Gracie Abrams, during her surprise appearance on the Eras Tour.

Gracie, a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from California, revealed that Travis was willing to make a big sacrifice to help her shine on stage with the pop icon.

The trio appeared together on stage at the London show in June and I’m sure you’ll remember the absolute frenzy that was sparked following the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s stage debut.

Travis appeared for the costume change portion of the show before Gracie joined him to sing her latest track “Us” alongside Taylor.

Since then, Gracie has revealed exactly what Travis said to her before they both took the stage and it’s pretty adorable if you ask us.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on Tuesday (July 2), Gracie recalled: “Before we both went, we were in the tent and he said — he came in right before I did, I think, two songs or something. He was like, ‘I’m going to ruin this so you look really good.'”

How nice.

After talking a little more about that experience, she continued, “The thing is, it’s just a community of really supportive people.

“Really, everyone, whether you’re in the tent or the top row of the stadium, it’s like everyone’s there because there’s such a deep joy and feeling associated with all the music that she’s produced over the last 18 years and it’s like, I don’t know.

“It’s really something magical.”

In other Taylor news, a German town has been renamed in honor of the “Love Story” hitmaker amid her Eras Tour success.

It’s apparently one of several “surprises” in store for Swifties heading to Gelsenkirchen, West Germany, later this month – with officials excited to welcome “the world’s most famous singer”.

In his honor, the town will be renamed Swiftkirchen, which, we will all agree, has a tremendous resonance.

Markus Schwardtmann, the city’s public relations officer, said: “Today is the starting signal. We will be installing many more signs in busy locations in Gelsenkirchen in the coming days.

“There will be plenty of small and big surprises so that the Swifties in Gelsenkirchen will have plenty to discover.”

Mayor Karin Welgen added: “As mayor, I am of course very pleased that Taylor Swift, currently the most famous singer in the world, will perform three times in Gelsenkirchen.

“International attention will therefore be focused on our city again immediately after EURO 2024.”
