Mickey and Friends Meet Guests in “Spirit of ’76” Outfits for July 4, 2024

To celebrate July 4, 2024, Mickey and friends are dressed in their finest “Spirit of ’76” costumes for a meet-and-greet outside the American Adventure Pavilion at EPCOT.

Visitors have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Mickey, Goofy and Pluto to celebrate the Fourth of July. The trio can be found under an overhang on the right side of the pavilion.

Mickey and Goofy wear red and blue coats, while Pluto wears a red, white, and blue sash. They all wear black tricorn hats.

Two chipmunk mascots, embodying the spirit of 1976, stand in front of a backdrop decorated with flowers. We also saw Chip and Dale meet guests in between visits from Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto.

July 4th at Walt Disney World Resort

Fireworks light up the night sky above a large, brightly lit castle, projecting streaks of light and explosions of different colors. Fourth of July festivities are in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort. Fireworks and dance parties with DJs took place yesterday at the Magic Kingdom, and will take place again tonight.

The Magic Kingdom’s festive fireworks show, Disney Celebrates America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, will be presented at 9:20 p.m. tonight.

At EPCOT, you can experience the recently opened “Portraits of Courage” exhibit, featuring more than 60 oil paintings by former President George W. Bush that honor military members and veterans who have served since 9/11. Spaceship Earth will also be lit in red, white and blue tonight, and the lighting around World Celebration will match. “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks will also be featured on the evening of July 4 following “Luminous: The Symphony of Us.”

The a cappella group Voices of Liberty will perform patriotic songs throughout the day in The American Adventure’s rotunda. In the meantime, you can find a limited-time special, the BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich, just steps away at Regal Eagle Smokehouse.
