On tonight’s NXT show, a WWE match was unexpectedly canceled. A scheduled tag team match did not take place, with the reason being explained on television. WWE had announced a few days ago that Gallus (Joe Coffey and Wolfgang) would face Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe on the July 2 episode of NXT. The two teams have been feuding recently and were scheduled to face off in the ring tonight.

However, tensions boiled over before the fight. In a backstage segment, Gallus was seen sparring with Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont at the Performance Center. Later, commentator Vic Joseph revealed that all four men had to receive medical attention after the fight, leading to their match being canceled.

Additionally, tonight’s episode saw Hank Walker make his in-ring return, teaming with Tank Ledger to take on the main event duo of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, known as New Catch Republic. Shawn Michaels also appeared, explaining why he’s giving an NXT star a “second chance” and inviting him to a reunion next Tuesday.
