Get Ready for a Hot and Humid 4th of July in the Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — We’ve started to warm up and the humidity is rising just in time for the 4th.th of July.

It will be partly cloudy tonight with a low around 72. It will be partly sunny and warm overnight.th with a 30% chance of showers or thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening. Highs will be around 94. It will be partly cloudy tomorrow night with a low of 74.


Friday will be partly sunny and warm with a high of 94 and a 40% chance of showers or thunderstorms.

Over the weekend, the heat will persist and humidity will be very high on Saturday. With an approaching cold front and the combination of heat and humidity, we have a 60% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be below 90°C. They will drop back to 73°C by Saturday night. On Sunday, the chance of a shower or thunderstorm will drop to 35% with highs around 91°C.

Early next week, the chance of showers and thunderstorms increases to 50%. Maximum temperatures will be around 91°C each day and minimums of 73 to 74°C.

Hurricane Beryl continues to move through the Caribbean and will head toward the Yucatan on Friday as a weakened storm. It will then move toward the southwestern Gulf of Mexico and northern Mexico and southern Texas on Monday, likely as a tropical storm.
