Camila Cabello’s Metallic Y2K Sandals at ‘C,XOXO’ Launch Party in London – Footwear News

Her accessories completed the early 2000s aesthetic.

Camila Cabello kicked off the release of her fourth solo album “C,XOXO” on Tuesday at The Box in London. The album is out June 28 via Geffen and Interscope Records.

For the special day, the “Senorita” singer wore a pair of metallic silver Y2K-style sandals. Although overshadowed by the hem of her pants, the star’s shoes featured silver straps, buckle closures, rounded toes, and heart and ball charms attached to the straps. The style can be compared to Cape Robbin’s Cherilynn heels.

It is likely that the sandal style will also include stiletto heels that are 2 to 3 inches high. Metallic styles have become increasingly popular lately, seen on stars like Lupita Nyong’o, Eva Longoria, Gayle King, Venus Williams, Carrie Underwood, and Teyana Taylor, among others.

Heeled sandals are making a comeback in wardrobes as summer approaches. This silhouette is perfect for warmer days, as its minimalist construction allows feet to breathe. Similar styles to Cabello’s can be purchased from brands like Amina Muaddi, Prada, Aquazzura, Alaia, Bottega Veneta, and The Attico.

Keeping it casual, the “Worth It” singer wore a pair of baggy acid-wash jeans with a structured black corset top featuring matching black button closures. For accessories, Cabello wore slim black Miu Miu sunglasses from the 2000s and a black quilted crossbody bag secured with silver chain embellishments. With the release of her new album, Cabello has been shifting her personal style to incorporate more alternative Y2K looks.
