U.S. Announces Significant New Military Assistance to Ukraine – U.S. State Department

The United States is sending Ukraine a large consignment of weapons and equipment to support the Ukrainian military in its fight against Russian aggression. The $150 million consignment, provided under the Presidential Withdrawal Authorization, includes missiles for HAWK air defense systems, ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, 81mm mortar shells, TOW (tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided) missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, ammunition and grenades for small arms, demolition equipment, tactical vehicles for towing and transporting equipment, tactical air navigation systems and aircraft support equipment, night vision devices, spare parts, maintenance equipment, and other field and auxiliary equipment. This support will also help strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses against Russian attacks and enhance Ukraine’s capabilities on the front lines.

This is the seventh security assistance program authorized by the President to help Ukraine since the National Security Supplement was signed two months ago. We will implement this new assistance as quickly as possible to strengthen the defense of Ukraine’s territory and people. As President Biden has made clear, the United States and the international coalition we have assembled will continue to support Ukraine.
