Lone Light Spirits plans tasting room in downtown Farmington

FARMINGTON — Ferndale-based Lone Light Spirits is opening a tasting room with cocktails and mocktails in downtown Farmington

Guests can enjoy traditional Lone Light-style vodka, bourbon and gin drinks at the establishment located at 23622 Farmington Road.

“The tasting room will be a full cocktail bar using our premium spirits as well as other fresh ingredients,” said owner Joe Lordon. “We will be serving spirits by the glass or people can have a tasting glass. The tasting room will not only feature our flagship products, but we will also have some exclusives.”

The tasting room will also offer bottled beverages and snacks. Lordon explained that the business will not have a full kitchen, so customers will be able to bring food from local restaurants inside.

“We are really excited to be a part of the community and look forward to partnering with many other businesses in the area,” he said. “We are excited to open our doors and meet our new neighbors.”

Lordon said the tasting room menu is still being developed, but the plan is to have a seasonal rotation. He hopes Lone Light Spirits will complement other local businesses like Farmington Brewing Company, Heights Brewing and a wine bar under construction downtown, and that Farmington’s social district will allow people to enjoy all the businesses at once.

“Not only are all these businesses fantastic, but it’s great that the community district is actually bringing additional sales to the surrounding businesses,” Lordon said. “I think having these breweries, the winery that’s coming and the other bars and restaurants helps make Farmington a destination.”

The company doesn’t have a specific timeline for opening the Farmington tasting room, but Lordon said he expects a short renovation period once the proper permits are obtained.
