Reward offered for information regarding recent homicide – KBSI Fox 23 Cape Girardeau News

Marshall County Reward in Murder Investigation 7/3

BENTON Ky. (KBSI) – On June 27, 2024, a 44-year-old man named Jesse Moore was found dead in his Marshall County home. Police say a $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information regarding the arrest of the person responsible. Benton Coroner Kenny Pratt shares what he knows about the case.

“What happened is the police department and LVL located an abandoned vehicle and when they located that vehicle they were trying to find out who it belonged to. They were unable to make contact with that person. They contacted the family and then the Kentucky State Police were called for a welfare check to go to his home and verify if he was there or not. When KSV arrived on scene they were able to gain entry into the home and when they did they found Mr. Moore deceased.”

Pratt explains why they think someone killed Jesse Moore and how he hopes the reward will bring answers.

“The $1,000 reward is for any information that could help lead to an arrest or any leads that could lead to the arrest of the person involved in this case. But it was very obvious that foul play was involved in this case, which is why they called the coroner when I got there.”
