Naked, unconscious driver found during Fresno traffic stop on suspicion of drunk driving

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno CHP officers responded to a traffic stop Wednesday morning that was out of the ordinary.

Officers were responding to a report of an occupied and disabled vehicle blocking Copper Ave at Sunnyside Ave, CHP Fresno said officers said a man who was the driver was found in concerning condition: naked, unresponsive and in the fetal position.

The Fresno CHP thanks the Fresno Sheriff’s Deputies and their quick response, the two groups worked together and blocked the truck, broke the window and safely extracted the individual without incident.

The CHP says an investigation revealed suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. It also says it found a line of white powdery substance on an Alcoholics Anonymous book.
