Donald Trump’s Verbal Embarrassment Has His Critics Boiling

Donald Trump is quickly recalling one of the most difficult moments of his administration after a verbal gaffe during an interview that aired Monday.

The former president said on Newsmax that the country would not be able to function if President Joe Biden were re-elected.

“Look at even things like the evolution of supply,” Trump said, likely referring to “supply chains,” a little-known phrase he said.

“Things we’ve never heard of, you’ve never heard that term,” Trump said. “It all worked under my watch. It all worked.”

Trump’s critics have stepped in to correct him on a few points, pointing out that “supply chains” (not “supply shift”) is a common phrase, and that it didn’t work under his watch when the COVID-19 pandemic began and everything from medical supplies to groceries to toilet paper became hard to find:
