Kanye West Releases Silent Documentary About Yeezy Season 2

Kanye West has released a completely silent documentary about his Yeezy Season 2 collection.

The rapper and fashion designer’s film features behind-the-scenes footage of what went into the creative process, but without sound.

The silent documentary begins with a black screen with white text stating: “This documentation has no sound.”

The 20-minute video gives fans an exclusive look at the designs, stitching and tailoring that went into the items ahead of her big show at New York Fashion Week in September.

Meanwhile, Kanye revealed that the unusual inspiration for his neutral clothing range was the loft of his £2.9million New York apartment designed by architect Claudio Silvestrin.

He explained to Vanity Fair magazine: “I’ve lived in a Claudio Silvestrin apartment since I was 26, and I love those types of palettes and that’s my opinion.

“And I have the opportunity to work with extraordinary professionals to bring this painting to life. I want it to become more of a moving painting than a political statement or a fashion statement.

“It’s strictly… not strictly, you can take it however you want; obviously, I’m a very socially engaged human being. But at the end of the day, I’m just an artist trying to express myself, trying to finish my sentences like my daughter does.”

The short film is available on Yeezy.supply.
