Patrick Mahomes, Who Avoids Tom Brady’s Mistake, Reveals How Much It Would Cost Him to ‘Get in the Ring’

Patrick Mahomes apparently has two things to worry about. What is it? Taking punches and one-liners from Tony Hinchcliffe after he retires. What is the most popular side quest right now? It’s either a pay-per-view boxing match on YouTube or choosing to get roasted on Netflix in front of millions of people. The Chiefs QB can do neither.

After a long time, the Kansas City Chiefs star decided to break his silence on an informal scene of the Riggle’s Picks podcast. They started talking about the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Mahomes had everything planned out in his head about the fight: from Jake Paul’s endurance to Mike Tyson’s ferocity, he knew it all. But there was one question he didn’t have to ask.

The question that makes Mahomes tremble in his boots is: “What’s the price to get in the ring with Mike Tyson? As a reader, would you get in the ring with Mike Tyson? It’s highly unlikely. Mahomes is tough, but not tough enough to take on a dog that’s going to hit him like a truck, but that doesn’t mean he can’t hold his own.

“I don’t have to pay anything to get in the ring. I’ve never been a big fighter in general, I’ll fight back if it’s a matter of life and death, but I usually let the big guys do it. So it’s definitely not something I plan on doing after I’m done with my career. That and roasting. I don’t do roasting either.” Mahomes said on the Riggle’s Picks podcast.

What do you think is the main reason Patrick Mahomes is hesitant to step into the ring?

But who in their right mind would want to fight one of the greatest boxers of all time? Kudos to Jake Paul for doing it. But enough boxing. And the roast? It’s not easy to let people make fun of you when comedians are exposing the skeletons in their closets. Then again, Tom Brady did it and he probably regrets it now. The entire Patriots gang caught strays even when the jokes weren’t about them.

Relationships, education, player wives, personal boundaries, nothing is sacred at this point. So it’s certainly something three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes wants to avoid. Getting burned takes a lot of guts, and few people have it in them to be the clown of the day for all to see. For now, Mahomes will stick to what he knows best: football.

But back to Brady for a second. Do you know why Mahomes might pass on this roast idea? It’s because he could have heard what Tom Brady had to say after he was done showing off to the world.

The Deflategate scandal, Giselle Bundchen, his kids, nothing was off-topic in this story. Brady was hurt when the actors brought up his wife and kids in the drama. But you see, nothing is off-topic for comedians when they’re in the spotlight. They grab the mic and they go wild. Brady was visibly upset after the havoc this story caused.

“It was the bittersweet side of doing something that you think is a certain way and then all of a sudden you realize you wouldn’t do it again because of how it actually affected the people I care about the most in the world.” Brady said, defending his children from the tragedy.

Think about the dirty jokes about his wife cheating on him and the impact that would have had on Brady’s kids. It’s not about the money. High-profile figures like Mahomes and Brady have tons of money. But what good is money when you can’t maintain your mental health and well-being?

There are no controversies directly related to Patrick Mahomes. But his brother and father have been involved in some really shady business and he may not want comedians exposing his business to the world. It’s not worth it. What do you think?
