ITV’s This Morning’s Cat Deeley lashes out at co-star as live TV blunder rocks show

Cat Deeley had no time to waste on Ben Shephard’s remarks on This Morning as she immediately shut him down on Thursday’s Coin Drop with a direct five-word threat.

This Morning: Cat and Ben suffer a Coin Drop machine malfunction

Ben Shephard was in a good mood when Cat Deeley reminded him not to ruffle her feathers.

The presenting duo were back on This Morning on Thursday after being told not to mention the general election as Britons take their time to vote. There are 650 House of Commons constituencies up for grabs across the UK.

As their show came to a close, Cat and Ben presented another segment of Coin Drop, a new game that was recently introduced to disappointed ITV viewers, and spoke to a viewer named David who was trying his luck to win £20,000.

Ben Shephard warned Cat Deeley to be careful around the Coin Drop board, but she hit back with a big warning((TV)

But a slight disagreement broke out when Ben Shephard reported a malfunction in the machine when the coin the cat was supposed to drop stopped moving.

“So we have a little incident here, it happens every now and then on one of my shows,” the presenter said, referring to his popular show Tipping Point. “You never see it, of course, because we can edit it. It’s live, so I’ll take it down and rebroadcast it.”

A few minutes later, however, the piece was stuck again, prompting him to add, “This is your first time this week and you’ve already broken the board. I’m just reporting it.”

Awkwardness lingered in the air as David let out a small chuckle while Cat remained silent for a few seconds, standing over the Coin Drop board with a blank expression.

She then warned Ben. “Rich, I can break other things too, you know,” she playfully threatened, leaving her co-star in tears.
