Surveillance footage from the first company showed the first part of the incident when a white BMW SUV pulled into a parking lot, and a man got out of the car and began gesturing wildly toward a silver SUV parked across the parking lot, according to local media.

The silver SUV waits for traffic to clear before speeding into the parking lot and pulling into a space right next to the BMW.

At this point, the driver of the BMW, dressed all in white, is already back in his car, but the driver of the silver SUV gets out, walks to the driver’s side of the BMW and appears to hit the driver twice out of view of the camera.

The driver of the silver SUV gets back into his car and begins to drive away when a female passenger in the BMW gets out and begins recording his license plate with her cell phone.

As he pulls out of the parking lot and into the street, the white BMW follows him.

Surveillance video from another company showed the confrontation escalating between the two drivers on a busy road. The man in white gets out of his vehicle in the middle of the intersection. Then the silver SUV suddenly turns around and heads toward the BMW driver as he stands in the street, appearing to try to ram him.

The driver of the BMW begins to run around the silver SUV and kicks its bumper while the driver of the silver SUV gets out to try to confront him face to face.

The man in white lunged at the other driver several times, appearing to swing something and chasing the driver of the silver SUV. It’s unclear if the knife was present at the time.

The violence escalates further when the driver of the silver SUV gets back into his car and crashes into the white BMW.

That’s when the driver of the white BMW, with the knife now visible in the cellphone footage, walked up to the driver’s side window of the silver SUV and began stabbing the driver multiple times.

The suspect fled but was later apprehended by police.

The driver of the silver SUV did not need to be taken to hospital for his injuries, which police said were not life-threatening.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jhonpol Molina Orozco, 21, of Rancho Cucamonga. He was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

The shocking video has been making the rounds on social media. A user on X, formerly known as Twitter, asked the question of the day.

“Attempted murder following a traffic dispute? That seems like a high price to pay. I have your license plate, your cell phone signal, the video… The guilty verdict should be unanimous in 30 minutes.”
