LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Purdy

BOTTINEAU, N.D. — Time was almost up for a little puppy at the Minot pound.

There isn’t enough room for that many stray dogs, so the little black and white pitbull mix only had a few days left.

Until Tasha Gorentz of Kritter Krazy Reptile and Exotic Rescue rushed to his aid.

They got her out of the pound and saved her life.

She looks less than a year old and is very intelligent, learning to sit almost immediately, although, as Gorentz says, she doesn’t really have a sense of personal space.

She really loves cuddles and hugs, and has “helicopter ears” that prick up and to the sides when she’s interested in something.

She has already made her first public appearance and has done very well with all the strangers she has met.

She will need to undergo spaying surgery and be fully recovered before she can be adopted.

But if you’re looking for a cute girl, this little pup, named Purdy, might be the one for you.
