Everything is ready for the 10th edition of the Dubrovnik DUB Bowl international tennis tournament

The tenth edition of the international tennis tournament Dubrovnik DUB Bowl, for players under 11 and 13 years old, is about to begin. Over the past nine editions, Dubrovnik has hosted more than 1,500 young tennis players from almost 70 countries from all continents.

The impressive statistics of the Dubrovnik DUB Bowl, which kicks off on Monday 8th July and runs until Sunday 14th July, underline the importance of the event. As always, this year’s tournament will see not only the young players and their coaches travel to Dubrovnik, but also their immediate and extended families.

The strength of the Dubrovnik DUB Bowl is demonstrated by the fact that about a hundred young players who played on the clay courts of the Tennis Center Dubrovnik in Gospino Polje were national champions at the time. In some countries, such as Bulgaria, qualifying tournaments were held to select the best players who would come to Dubrovnik.

Since the event has been around for a decade, many participants have gone on to compete in major international tournaments. Filipina Alexandra Eala, who won in Gospino Polje in 2015, won the US Open junior title in 2022 and was ranked world number two in the junior category.

This tournament brings together not only young athletes, but also their coaches and family members, making Dubrovnik a hub of tennis talent for a week. The Dubrovnik DUB Bowl is more than just a tournament: it inspires and nurtures new generations of tennis players, creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
