Police issue public safety alert after woman caught on camera in Etobicoke store fitting room

Police have issued a public safety alert after a woman was filmed in a fitting room at an Etobicoke store last week.

Police say the incident took place at a business near North Queen Street and the Queensway on June 27.

The woman was reportedly in a locker room when she observed a cell phone being held under the wall of the cubicle.

Police say the suspect “appeared to have captured images of the victim” before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Police have released several images of a suspect in the case.

He is described as a clean-shaven man, 50 to 60 years old, of medium build and with short, receding hairline. He was last seen wearing blue pants and a blue and red t-shirt.

“Police are asking the public to be vigilant, remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police,” the public safety alert issued Thursday said.
