Aeroportuario del Pacifico Group Reports No Major Damage

GUADALAJARA, Mexico, July 04, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, SAB de CV, (NYSE: PAC; BMV: GAP) (“the Company” or “GAP”) informs that yesterday, July 3, the airports of Montego Bay and Kingston were in a state of preventive emergency due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl in Jamaica.

Both airports remained closed from midnight on Tuesday, July 2, until Wednesday, July 3. Montego Bay Airport did not have any major damage that would prevent its operation, so operations resumed today at 6:00 p.m. Kingston Airport sustained minor damage to the roof of the passenger boarding area; given these effects, the airport must remain closed this July 4 to implement corrective measures, reopening the airport at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5. Runways, aprons and terminals were undamaged, allowing the airports to reopen.

As of last night, the centre of Hurricane Beryl was located more than 100 km southwest of Negril Point, Jamaica, so it is unlikely that its effects will persist in the coastal areas of the island.

GAP has property insurance that covers this type of natural disaster, so no significant economic impact is expected.
