Rod Stewart, 79, devastated by news of his divorce

In a surprising turn of events, Sean Stewart, the son of legendary rock star Rod Stewart, is divorcing his wife of one year, television producer Jody Weintraub.

The news, reported by the Daily Mail, has left fans and family members in shock as the couple have already been separated for several months and are now working to finalize their divorce.

Sean, whose best friend is Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick, stunned his family in February 2023 by announcing he had married Jody in Las Vegas.

The escape was a spontaneous decision, with Sean proposing during a romantic meal at Catch restaurant in Sin City.

Hours later, the couple headed to the iconic Little Church of the West and got married, dressed in their usual attire.

Their whirlwind romance rekindled an old connection, as the two had known each other since high school. Introduced by a mutual friend, producer Courtenay Semel, Sean and Jody’s relationship seemed destined for a fairytale ending.

But the reality turned out to be more complicated. Jody, the daughter of Jerry Weintraub, the late producer of Ocean’s Eleven, welcomed a son from her first marriage into their blended family.

Earlier this year, Sean and Jody took a major step forward by purchasing a home together in Los Angeles, signaling their commitment to building a life together.

Despite these positive steps, the pressures and challenges of marriage have taken their toll and the couple will likely sell the home as they move forward with their separation.

Sean’s background is as colorful as his father’s brilliant career. He is the son of Rod Stewart and his first wife, Alana Collins, whom Rod married in 1979.

Their marriage, which lasted five years, also produced a daughter, Kimberly, now 43. Alana was not only married to Rod, but she was also married to actor George Hamilton, adding to the complex family dynamic.

Reflecting on the past year, Sean has experienced a significant personal transformation. In the past six months, he has lost 40 pounds through daily workouts.

The former reality star told DailyMail.com that he wakes up as early as 4am to start lifting weights. “I wake up really early to do it and then I go for a long walk,” the Sons Of Hollywood star revealed.

“Of course, later in the day I take a nap, so I don’t miss out on sleep. There’s nothing better than doing a workout really early in the day so I can forget about it and not think about it anymore.”

Sean is getting back in shape

Sean admitted that his decision to lose weight was motivated by a desire to feel better and slim down for the summer. “It’s not comfortable to have weight on you, it feels awful and it slows you down. So I decided to do something about it.”

This personal transformation is also linked to Sean’s professional efforts. He is currently filming the pilot of a new television series that will highlight his career as a designer for his brand, Dirty Weekend.
