Drama erupted on Thursday night’s episode of Love Island when the Casa Amor fallout was finally revealed.

ITV viewers saw Jess get back together with Hugo, while Trey decided to get back together with Ellie – but it was Jess’ comments that caused the most discussion. Fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Jess made a huge blunder over Trey’s name last night.

Some are convinced that the awkward moment was “100% intentional” and a calculated dig during last night’s episode. One even called it a “violation” because Jess appeared to call Trey “Troy” – with viewers sharing High School Musical memes.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote: “Jess called Trey, Troy on purpose #loveisland.” While another added: “When Jess called Trey, Troy,” along with an awkward gif. Someone else said: “I knew Jess was going to come back to the main villa with Hugo and I also knew Trey was going to get back together with Ellie.

“But what made me laugh was when Jess called Trey “Troy”, no that’s a violation she made him sound so insignificant she forgot his name.” Someone else commented: “Trey is so jealous hahahahah I cry on Jess’s head when she called him Troy.”

Another asked, “Did Jess call Trey ‘Troy’ on purpose or was it accidental?” Another viewer replied, “Jess deliberately called Trey Troy on purpose 100%.” One concluded, “Between Trey’s embryonic speech and Jess’s ‘Troy’ faux pas, this was one of the most awkward Casa reunions I’ve ever seen.”

It comes after fans believe they have spotted a potential break-up with two islanders following a dramatic re-couple. While some women are choosing to hook up with new hotties while they’re away, original islanders Matilda, Uma, Mimi and Nicole have decided to play it safe and return to their men in the main villa.

However, with the original guys also getting six new bombshells, everything was still up for grabs. In Uma’s case, she was ready to support her man Wil, with whom she had been getting closer for several weeks.
