YouTuber dies at age 30

Fans of popular Australian YouTuber Pretty Pastel Please, known as Alexwere shocked to learn of her heartbreaking death last month at the age of 30.

In a post published on Alex’s social networks on Friday, the unfortunate news was confirmed to the hundreds of thousands of followers of the Internet personality.

“It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you that Alex, known to many as Pretty Pastel Please, has passed away. Her passing was sudden, unexpected and devastating to all who knew her,” the message read.

“This is a shock to us all, and his family and friends have asked for their grief to be dealt with privately. We ask that you respect their wishes – they appreciate all your support but need time to heal in private.”

The post informed Alex’s fans that a memorial video would be uploaded to the Pretty Pastel Please channel after the funeral, and encouraged anyone affected by the devastating news to reach out to Beyond Blue for help. No cause of death was provided.

Alex’s fashion, travel, and review videos on YouTube have earned her nearly 700,000 subscribers on the platform. However, in recent years, the upload schedule for Pretty Pastel Please has been impacted by difficulties in the YouTuber’s personal life.

The 30-year-old was known for being open with her fans about her mental health struggles due to trolling and negative comments about her appearance. Additionally, in 2023, she went through a divorce initiated by her husband.
