Only compensation, but no action… Why are political parties silent on Bhole Baba?

The Hathras Stampede: Rahul Gandhi visited Hathras and then Aligarh today. The Congress leader met the families of the victims of this incident. He said it was sad, many families had suffered. Many people had died, there was lack of administration and mistakes had been made. Rahul Gandhi also appealed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. No action has been taken against Bhole Baba alias Narayan Hari Sakar in whose satsang people were killed. What is surprising is that there is unity between the ruling party and the opposition on this issue. This means that both the parties are now one. Neither the BJP, nor the BSP, nor the Samajwadi Party have demanded any action against Baba. Why are all the political parties united on this issue? The reason behind this is poll politics. Everyone fears that Dalit voters will get angry. That is why the Samajwadi Party is blaming the BJP government in this matter. While the BJP is highlighting the relationship between Akhilesh Yadav and Baba.11 percent of voters are from the Dalit Jatav community in UPWhen Baba, alias Narayan Hari Sakar, was in the Uttar Pradesh police, his name was Surajpal Singh. Baba, who lives in Kasganj district, belongs to the Dalit Jatav community. This caste constitutes 11 per cent of the voters in Uttar Pradesh. Most of the people who believe in Baba are from the backward and Dalit society. Hundreds of thousands of people from nine districts of western Uttar Pradesh support him. They continue to attend his satsang. Every month, on the first Tuesday, his satsang is held somewhere. Thousands of people participate. Baba has no special connection with any political party. In public, Akhilesh Yadav had attended Baba’s satsang in Etawah last year. He had then described Narayan Hari Sakar as a great saint. Akhilesh Yadav held the Uttar Pradesh government responsible for the Hathras incident. In Lucknow, he said that Baba’s satsangs are happening all the time. No such incident has ever happened. All this has happened because of the government and the administration. BSP president Mayawati is also silent on the issue. Azad Samaj Party MP Chandrashekhar Ravan has demanded adequate compensation for the people.Mayawati-Chandrashekhar’s position is the same in Baba’s caseMayawati and Chandrashekhar have been in a relationship for 36 years. But in Baba’s case, their positions are the same. Like Mayawati and Chandrashekhar, Baba also hails from the Jatav community. Even after so many people lost their lives in Hathras, the victim’s family does not consider Baba guilty. Due to Baba’s strong hold on the Dalit community, no political party is willing to go beyond the politics of compensation.
