Martinsville camera installer spied on customers, caught in possession of child pornography

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — The owner of Anderson Video Security and Alarm LLC is accused not only of possessing child pornography, but also of using security cameras to spy on his customers without their knowledge.

Adam R. Anderson, of Martinsville, was charged with six counts of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony. Charges were filed against Anderson by the Morgan County District Attorney’s Office on Monday.


While details of his child pornography arrest remain confidential, a court document reveals that Anderson was allegedly found in possession of images of child pornography involving children under the age of 12. Police seized devices belonging to Anderson which are currently being searched for additional evidence.

According to court documents, the investigation into Anderson also revealed that he used video cameras installed in his clients’ homes and/or businesses through his security company to monitor his clients without their knowledge or consent.

Anderson is currently out on bail. The state has filed a motion requesting that Anderson be placed on remote monitoring.
