Outer Range Canceled by Prime Video After Two Seasons

Bad news for fans of the sci-fi western series Outdoor rangeAmazon MGM canceled the series after its two seasons on Prime Video, which saw Josh Brolin lead the cast of a bizarre mystery set on his family ranch.

Outdoor range The series first aired on Prime in 2022 and its second season just aired in May, with all 7 episodes airing at once. The second season proved to be very popular during its first two weeks according to Nielsen Streaming Originals ratings, with the series ranking #3 in its first week and dropping to #8 in its second.

No reason was given for its cancellation, neither by its cast nor crew. The series was created by Charles Murray who served as showrunner and even had Brad Pitt as an executive producer. Brolin also made his directorial debut with the penultimate episode of season 2.
