Dubois County Bombers enjoy rainy day despite game cancellation

DUBOIS CO., Ind. (WFIE) – The Dubois County Bombers baseball team proved that rainy days can be just as good as sunny days.

On Wednesday, the team was scheduled to play Terre Haute Rex and set off fireworks later in the evening.

However, the match was cancelled due to rain.

A social media post shows the team covering the baseball field with a tarp and players turning the field into a slide.

“The Bombs are unwavering in their commitment to entertaining! Leave it to us to turn a rainy day out into a makeshift water park,” the post read.

Officials said the game and fireworks display would be rescheduled.

The team says that rain or shine, you can always count on them to have a good time.
