Get Inspired: Art Walks Return to Brighten Up Rapid City | Lifestyle

RAPID CITY, SD – Get ready for the return of Art Walks! Hosted by the Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC), these monthly events light up downtown every first Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Save the dates: July 5, August 2 and September 6.

Art walks are designed to spark your creativity and showcase local talent. Stroll through galleries, boutiques and restaurants where creativity thrives. Meet artists like Bonny Fleming at Visit Rapid City, explore original works by the Northern Plains Watercolor Society in the Firehouse Winery tasting room and indulge in handmade soaps and bath salts from Planted Beauty Co at Canvas 2 Paint. Plus, sample regional treats and beverages from participating vendors and restaurants.

Delve into Rapid City’s vibrant arts scene with this self-guided adventure. Create your own unique perfume at Pure Fox Perfume Bar in just 20 minutes, leaving plenty of time to sip and shop at Dandelion Bouquet. After your stroll, unwind with free live music on the square from Bert Malcolm and the Tidal Waves from 5-6pm. Stick around from 6-8pm for the Emerging Performing Artists Mic – sign up and take the stage yourself!

Art Walk maps can be picked up at the Dahl Arts Center and all participating venues. If you’re not sure where to start, visit the RCAC website to explore Art Walk themed tours like Art Lovers, Crafty Kids, and Palette Pals, each offering a curated experience with five unique stops.
