Prudential Announces Share Buyback and Cancellation

Prudential (GB:PRU) has released an update.

Prudential plc reported the repurchase of 219,866 of its own ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of £7.2022 per share, with transactions executed through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange. The company confirms its intention to cancel these shares, which will reduce the total number of shares in issue and consequently the number of voting rights. This buyback is part of the company’s share repurchase plan authorized by shareholders at the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
