Booker T questions if WWE star is ready for title shot

Booker T isn’t sure a rising star is ready for the WWE main roster championship.

Since joining WWE, Bron Breakker has made waves as a former NXT Champion and is now a dominant force on Monday Night Raw. Breakker has made it clear that he wants to reach the top of WWE and carry the company, and at Money in the Bank, he will have a chance to win gold again when he faces Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title.

As a commentator on NXT, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has had a front-row seat to witness Breakker’s rise on the brand. Speaking on the latest edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker discussed the star’s upcoming championship match against Zayn and said that while he was interested in the match, he wasn’t sure if it was the right time to hand Breakker the championship gold as he is a star who needs to be treated with caution.

“I wouldn’t be mad, I wonder if he’s ready for it, you know, I wouldn’t say everybody is, but a lot of guys like me at this school say Bron Breakker is the next big thing, he’s the next star, he’s the guy that looks like he’s ready to get the rocket shot off of him and go straight to the moon. So I don’t think it’s a game you want to mess up, it’s not a game you want to miss. If you’re going to do it, do it, sink or swim… give him the ball, let’s see if he can run with it. That’s the only way to find out.”
