Israeli army announces death of one soldier, serious injury of another

Staff Sergeant Eyal Mimran, 20, from Ness Ziona, a soldier in the 101st Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, was killed in combat with terrorists in Shejaia, northern Gaza.

In addition, a reserve soldier from the 8101st Battalion of the 3rd “Alexandroni” Brigade was seriously injured by mortar fire in the Netzer corridor during fighting in central Gaza.

The soldier was evacuated to hospital for medical treatment and his family has been informed.
