Glendale Approves RideChoice Pilot Program

PHOENIX — The Glendale City Council has approved a one-year agreement The RideChoice pilot program is available Wednesday to ADA-certified paratransit residents, the council said.

It is offered to residents of all ages who wish to obtain transportation outside the city to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, entertainment venues and other activities. It will be operated by Valley Metro.

The program began on July 1 and will run through June 30, 2025. It will provide customers with access to a broader network of rideshare providers, including Uber, taxis and other wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Customers can take between 20 and 50 rides or drive 400 miles per month. RideChoice is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year, including public holidays.

RideChoice charges $3 for each one-way trip up to 13 km. Beyond 13 km, the fare is an additional $2.
