Hailee Steinfeld Offered Lead Role in Marvel’s New Hawkeye Series for Disney+

Hailee Steinfeld could be the newest member of the Avengers, after being offered the lead role in the new Hawkeye series for Disney+.

According to Variety, final negotiations are underway for her to reprise the role of Kate Bishop, who will take up the bow and arrows of current Hawkeye, Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner in the Avengers films.

The series would follow Barton, played by Renner, as he trains the young bishop to take over from him.

In the comics, Bishop is a member of the Young Avengers, alongside Hulkling, Prodigy, and Marvel Boy.

The series will be written by Jonathan Igla, one of the writers, and later story editor, on the hit show. Mad Men.

And that could open up the possibility of an additional role in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Bumblebee And True courage star, if she gets the role.

The Hawkeye series is one of several Marvel projects set to arrive on Disney+ when it launches in November.

First of all, it will be The Falcon and the Winter Soldierwith Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in The Avengers And Captain America films, released next year.

There is also the Loki series, starring Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s mischievous brother, scheduled for 2021, followed by Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen as Vision and Scarlett Witch in a “sitcom mash-up” WandaVisionwhich is also scheduled for release in 2021.
