'Thank you for coming to celebrate with us': Hardik Pandya's heartfelt message to fans after T20 World Cup victory parade

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya expressed his gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support during the T20 World Cup victory parade at Marine Drive in Mumbai and the celebration at Wankhede Stadium. He shared a video with the message on X, and it gained over 1.8 million views.

“India, you are my everything! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the love… these are moments I will never forget! Thank you for coming to celebrate with us, despite the rain! We love you so much! Celebrating with you is why we do what we do! We are all champions! We are all 1.4 billion of us! Thank you Mumbai, thank you India,” his message read.

Another user wrote, “Hardik, you missed one thing: you should have asked on the mic where the booers and your enemies are; they must be lurking somewhere nearby,” recalling the moment in Wankhede, when fans booed Pandya when he succeeded Rohit Sharma as captain of Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians.

At the victory parade on Thursday, fans cheered loudly and his name echoed throughout the stadium during the congratulatory ceremony.

Rohit Sharma and the Indian team kicked off their victory lap from Marine Drive atop an open bus. Cheering fans filled the streets, dancing to India’s triumph and joyfully heralding the arrival of the T20 World Cup champions.

During the parade, the players proudly held aloft the coveted trophy, in recognition of the fans’ unwavering support throughout the tournament. The outpouring of love from the fans was evident as some climbed trees, cheering passionately as the bus passed by.
