Mauricio Pochettino sends cryptic message after Man United links and Erik ten Hag announcement

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has taken to social media to send a message after being linked with the Manchester United job this summer.

The Argentine left Chelsea by mutual consent at the end of last season, despite leading the club to a European final. His departure from Stamford Bridge came at a time of uncertainty surrounding the future of United boss Erik ten Hag.

After arriving at United at the end of last year, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos carried out a full assessment of the club, including Ten Hag’s position. However, it was decided that the club would remain with the club, triggering a one-year extension option in the Dutchman’s contract.

Amid uncertainty over his future, Pochettino has been mooted as a potential replacement. It is not the first time he has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Pochettino having been heavily mooted when United were looking for a successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although the club ultimately decided to opt for Ralf Rangnick as their interim replacement.

Pochettino is currently unemployed and is now waiting for a new opportunity. In the meantime, he sent a cryptic message on his official Instagram account.

The manager posted a photo of blue sky, flowers and trees on his Instagram story. But the most interesting thing is the emojis he added.
